Economy: Sicily beats that nobody talks about the production Lombardia


Economy Sicily (industry, agriculture and services) increased by 1, 7%, a figure almost in line with the national average (1.9%) and the North-west (1.6%) but higher than the regions of Southern Italy (1.3%). The island, in terms of manufacturing value added in the economy, does better in Lombardy (1.4%), Campania (0.4%), Calabria (0.4%), and keeps the pace of Emilia Romagna (1.8%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (1.7%) and Sardinia (1.7%). The highest growth in Molise and Valle D'Aosta, +3.7%. A snapshot of the health of the economy in the Italian provinces and ISTAT which examines the production of value added in 2008. The highest performance comes from the services sector, with +2.2, although the increase is below the national average (2.8%) and aggregates of the regions by geographical location.
Although it appears to be lower, as is the agriculture and fishing (+0.8%) that characterizes the economic growth in Sicily than in many other regions with significant declines: Calabria -18.5% , Friuli Venezia Giulia -18.3%, -5.7 Liguria. Among those who best stands Abruzzo, +8.4%. Slight decline in the island in the value added in industry, which stops at -0.3%, in line with the national average (-0.3) but better than the average of the South (-0.9%) . At the provincial level, the territory is more virtuous in Catania, where the production of value added jumped by 2.9%. Below Agrigento (2.7%), Trapani (2.3%) and Syracuse (2.2%). Palermo is a close fifth with 2%, just behind the provinces of Ragusa (1.6%) and Enna (0.4%). Messina and Caltanissetta lose share over the previous year: -0.6% and -0.8%.
